The method of hunting with a bow has gained popularity over the past couple of years. Our guides are experienced and aware that bow hunting in Namibia can be quite challenging and requires the highest standard of hunting skills and ethical behaviour. The best time for a bow hunt would be during the months from June until October when the climate is dry. We have custom-built bow blinds at several waterholes for this purpose, but game is mainly stalked on foot or the hunter will lie in ambush close to areas that are frequented by game. Three types of bow are permitted in Namibia: the Long Bow, the Recurve Bow, and the Compound Bow with arrows made either of wood, fiberglass, carbon, carbon compound or aluminum.
